Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) on Monday reported 8.82 per cent decline in its domestic sales for March 2013 at 10,044 units.
The company had sold 11,016 units in the same month last year, HCIL said in a statement.
For the entire 2012—13 financial year, the company’s sales went up by 35.01 per cent to 73,483 units from 54,427 units in the year—ago period.
During March, the company sold 3,432 units of its flagship sedan City and 3,917 units of its small car Brio. It also sold 21 units of premium sedan Accord.
Besides, HCIL despatched 2,552 units of the yet—to—be launched sedan Amaze last month.
In addition to these sales, the company also exported a total of 345 units during March 2013.
