Honda Cars India (HCIL) on Friday said that it will recall 57,676 units of its City, Jazz and Civic to replace faulty airbag inflators manufactured between January 2013 and June 2013.

It includes 49,572 units of the City (manufactured in January 2012 - June 2013); 7,504 units of Jazz (manufactured in February 2012 – February 2013) and 600 units of Civic (manufactured in January 2012 – August 2012).

The company said it is a part of Honda’s preventive global recall campaign concerning air bag inflators.

“The replacement would be carried out free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India in a phased manner, starting from February 20, and the company will communicate with customers directly,” it said.

The customers can also check whether their car will be covered under this campaign by submitting their 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite on the company’s website, it added.
