Honda Cars India today launched a modified version of its mid-sized sedan City, which is compatible with CNG option.
The CNG version of the Honda City ‘V grade’ will be Rs 50,200 more expensive than the comparable petrol variant which is priced at Rs 9,03,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), the company said in a statement.
Rohan BRC has been appointed as the authorised dealer for providing the CNG kit. The modified Honda City will come with a two-year warranty as standard value for all buyers, it said, adding installation charges would be additional.
Honda-approved CNG kit will be available at all the 45 Honda dealerships located in 28 cities where CNG fuel option is available in the country, the company said.
Commenting on the new introduction, Honda Cars India Senior Vice President Jnaneswar Sen said: “Adapting the CNG technology is another step to keep low cost of ownership for our customers and will add to the appeal of the car, as it will not only be cheaper to run and maintain but also eco-friendly.”
The company has also introduced two new variants with Audio Visual Navigation in the Honda City range. These are priced at Rs 9.72 lakh and Rs 10.46 lakh.
