Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Monday reported 19.1 per cent increase in total sales at 4,49,028 units in October.
The company had sold 3,77,001 units in the corresponding month last year, HMSI said in a statement.
HMSI’s motorcycle sales, however, declined marginally at 1,61,685 units as against 1,62,188 units in the same month last year.
The company’s scooter sales jumped 35.54 per cent to 2,70,371 units, from 1,99,466 units in October 2014, it added.
Exports grew by 10.58 per cent to 16,972 units against 15,347 units in the same month a year ago, it said.
