Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced the recall of the CBR 250R Standard variant motorcycle.
The recall is for 11,500 units of CBR 250R Standard variant manufactured in India between March 2011 and September 2012.
In a statement, the company said there was a possibility of limited ineffectiveness in the front brake application, though this did not impact the overall braking functionality and effectiveness of front and rear brakes under normal riding conditions.
To find out if the user’s vehicle falls under this recall, customers can go to HMSI >websitewww.honda2wheelersindia.com/cbr250r/servicecampaign.aspx
All Honda exclusive authorised dealers will notify the concerned customers via call/e-mail/SMS for the inspection of CBR 250R Standard variant.
To avoid any inconvenience or waiting at the dealership, customers are requested to visit the dealership in accordance to their service appointment booked in advance.
This voluntary market action will take less than one hour and will be conducted at Honda exclusive authorised dealers all across India.
Honda said it will rectify the problem free-of-cost, irrespective of the vehicle's warranty status.
