Hunter Douglas inaugurates facility at Sri City

Hunter Douglas India, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunter Douglas N.V. of Netherlands, a market leader in window covering products and manufacturer of architectural products, inaugurated its facility at Sri City.

David H. Sonnenberg, Co-President & COO, Hunter Douglas Group, administered the dedication ceremony and inaugurated in the presence of P.K Sundaramoorthy, Managing Director, Hunter Douglas India, Ravindra Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City among others.

In a statement, David H. Sonnenberg said, “With global manufacturing and distribution capabilities, our international presence is uniquely multi-cultural, yet distinctly dedicated to a shared vision to meet the needs of our customers. It will strengthen our offerings to the architectural and interior market in India.”

Besides the innovative systems for interior and exterior window coverings, Hunter Douglas’ other products include acoustical and metal ceilings, solar control and facades.

Established in 1919 in Rotterdam (Netherlands), the Hunter Douglas group has 67 manufacturing and 102 assembly plants and marketing organisations in over 100 countries. Hunter Douglas India, incorporated in 1995, has its manufacturing and assembling facility at Silvassa.

TCS, iFlex, Yahoo, Accenture, Bharti, Reliance are among its clients. Hunter Douglas products have been used in airports at Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai among others.

Ravindra Sannareddy said, “Its tradition of bringing breakthrough products to market makes the company of choice for an array of demand based solutions. The Sri City unit will enable Hunter Douglas to better respond to the growing demands with in the country. ”
