Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) on Saturday said it is recalling 2,437 units of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) Santa Fe (Model year 2011), to replace the ‘Stop Lamp Switch’ due to potential malfunction.

The company will replace the part at no cost to customer, it said in a statement adding that the said number of vehicles were manufactured between June 26, 2011 and September 26, 2013.

Owners of the involved vehicles will be notified in a phased manner to bring in their vehicles for replacing the part.

“As a responsible manufacturer Hyundai Motor India continues to safeguard the safety of its customers and encourage owners of all affected Santa Fe vehicles to take them to authorised Hyundai Dealers,” it said.

HMIL will deliver best service and attention to its customers with its service and support network across the country, it added.
