Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Tuesday launched an LPG version of its compact car i10, priced up to Rs 4.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The i10 LPG is powered by 1.1 litre and will be available in its Era and Magna variants, priced at Rs 4.16 lakh and Rs 4.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), respectively, the company said in a statement.
The prices will translate to an additional cost of Rs 27,630 compared to the existing petrol model, it added.
Commenting on the launch, HMIL Managing Director and CEO Mr H W Park said: “The LPG version of our Next Gen i10 is a viable alternative for customers looking at low running cost.”
With the launch, HMIL is broadening its eco-friendly initiative, he added.
The new LPG version of i10, has been christened as i10 ’blue drive’ and it comes with a factory-fitted LPG kit and boasts of features that meet global standards in performance and safety, HMIL said.
With separate Petrol (35 litre) and LPG (34 litre) tanks, the customers have an option to choose from LPG and petrol modes, it added.
The company said the factory-fitted LPG system in i10 will enjoy a 2-year manufacturer warranty benefits.
