Hyundai Motor India Ltd has hiked prices across all its models. Rakesh Srivastava, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing said: “The price increase was necessitated due to the on board diagnostic compliance changes (OBDC). We have increased the prices in the range of Rs 575 to Rs 2,830 across all the models. We have tried to absorb the maximum cost to minimise the price increase to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers.” The OBDC is to ensure vehicles conform to emission levels. Whenever it is not followed, an alert appears on the vehicle’s display panel. The price increase comes with immediate effect, that is, April 1.
