Hyundai Motor India Ltd today reported a 2.58 per cent increase in its total sales in December 2013 at 49,069 units against 47,833 units in the same month of the previous year.
Domestic sales were up 6.24 per cent at 28,345 units during the month from 26,697 units in December 2012, the company said in a statement.
Exports during the month were down 1.94 per cent at 20,724 units against 21,136 units in the same month of the previous year, it added.
Commenting on the sales performance, HMIL Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Rakesh Srivastava, said: “Year 2013 was very challenging and rewarding...Manufacturing operated at 99 per cent capacity utilisation and had the fastest five million roll-out in India.”
In 2014, Hyundai will launch many new products and new initiatives to build further on this positive momentum, he added.
