Aditya Birla group company Idea Cellular has reported a 68.8 per cent rise in consolidated net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2014.
The telecom operator recorded net profit of Rs 755.8 crore as against Rs 447.61 crore in the same quarter a year back, as per details on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Revenue for the quarter went up by 20.36 per cent to close at Rs 7,686.48 crore (Rs 6385.9 crore)
Shares of Idea Cellular were up by 4.61 per cent to close at Rs 161.05 on the BSE.
