Kolkata-headquartered IFB Agro Industries Ltd reported a near 75 per cent increase in net profit to over ₹7 crore for the first quarter of this fiscal ending June 30. It had reported a net profit of ₹4 crore in the year-ago period.
Net sales during the quarter under review improved by approximately 18 per cent to ₹154 crore (as against ₹131 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal).
Segment results
In terms of segment results, the spirits, liquor and beverages segment reported an increased turnover of ₹68 crore (₹57 crore), while marine products reported a turnover of ₹86 crore (₹74 crore).
Both the segments reported a profit (before interest, unallocable expenses, and tax) of ₹6 crore and ₹5 crore respectively.
