Fertiliser major IFFCO’s Paradip unit in Odisha has achieved record production in its phosphoric acid plant for any single day on August 12 and is all set to meet the overall production target of 18.40 lakh tonnes fixed for the current fiscal.
Stating this on the occasion of Independence Day yesterday, IFFCO unit’s Senior General Manager S.K. Gandhi said the PAP achieved a record production of 3,000 tonnes for any single day on August 12.
He said IFFCO Managing Director U.S. Awasthi has conveyed his thanks to the employees of Paradip unit of the fertiliser cooperative for this great achievement.
Despite several constraints, Paradip unit has already achieved a production of 4.5 lakh tonnes so far and progressing well to achieve the annual target of 18.4 lakh tonnes fixed for the current financial year, Gandhi said.
IFFCO’s Paradip unit has also been regularly exporting its surplus power to Grid Corporation of Odisha (GRIDCO) in the last four years.
The unit has earned additional revenue of Rs 946 lakh during April-July through the sale of gypsum, hydro fluorosilisic acid and export of power to the state.
