Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) on Monday reported a marginal 2.95 per cent increase in net profit for the first quarter of 2013-14.
The supplier of compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) reported profit after tax of Rs 87.57 crore during April-June 2013 against Rs 85.06 crore in the same period of the previous year.
During the first three months of the current fiscal year, IGL registered a turnover of Rs 996.59 crore (Rs 841.36 crore).
“There has been an overall sales volume growth of 5 per cent over the corresponding quarter in the last fiscal. Product-wise, CNG recorded sales volume growth of 4 per cent, while PNG recorded sales volume growth of 7 per cent in the quarter as compared to last year,” it said in a statement.
