Hyderabad, Feb 13 IL&FS Engineering Services Ltd has posted a loss of Rs 31.01 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012 against a net profit of Rs 3.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
The Hyderabad-based construction company has posted a total income of Rs 441.53 core against Rs 422.60 crore.
The company is on course to scripting a recovery and has restructured its business operations and has also managed to conclude a series of moves including debt restructure programme.
The board, which met on Tuesday, took on record the financials for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012.
The company is actively pursuing the inter-corporate deposits, which the erstwhile promoters of the company (Maytas Infra) extended.
Prior to April 1, 2009, Rs 343.78 crore was extended to Satyam Computer Services Ltd and IL&FS claims that it has documentary evidence and the former has mentioned dues in suspense account pending investigations.
The company claims it is confident of recovering these ICDs together with interest due thereon.
Audit qualifications
However, S.R.Batliboi & Associates has qualified these in its limited review report.
For the extended financial year of 18 months ended September 30, 2012, the company closed with a loss of Rs 137.81 core on a total income of Rs 2,042.56 crore.
The company shares were trading at Rs 61.50, down 0.49 per cent on the BSE.
