Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor on Friday reported 29.98 per cent increase in its total sales in June at 36,595 units. The company had sold 28,155 units in the same month last year, India Yamaha Motor said in a statement.
In the domestic market, the company’s sales stood at 27,263 units as against 21,157 units in the same month last year, up 28.86 per cent.
Exports of India Yamaha rose by 33.35 per cent to 9,332 units from 6,998 units in the year-ago period, it added.
“We are very delighted with the consistent sales growth that we’ve been witnessing this year. The launch of the new variants of FZ series is driving our sales in both domestic and export markets,” India Yamaha Motor Director (Sales and Marketing) Mr Jun Nakata said.
The company now plans to reach out to customers in Tier II and III cities and are expanding its sales and service network, he added.
