Indiabulls Power said it has connected the first unit of 270 MW of its 1,350-MW Amravati phase I thermal power plant in Maharashtra with the western grid. The power generated will be supplied to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company based on a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) signed between the generator and procurer. The PPA tariff is Rs 3.26 a unit. Indiabulls Power is constructing a total of 5,400 MW, comprising two 2,700 MW coal-based power projects at Nandgaonpeth, Amravati district and another at Sinnar, Nashik district, Maharashtra.
