Indosolar Ltd, manufacturers of photovoltaic solar cells, has registered a net profit of Rs. 0.46 crore during the third quarter of the current fiscal.
The figures of the current quarter are not comparable to the corresponding previous year quarter as the company was in the start-up phase and had commenced its commercial production on July 17, 2009, the company said in a statement.
It also said that it has significantly increased its capacity by setting up additional line for manufacture of solar cells on March 17, 2010. Indosolar has recorded a total income of Rs 220.93 crore in the third quarter.
The turnaround in revenues and consequent profitability is the result of operational efficiencies, the statement said.
