Riding on spurt in farming activity on account of good monsoon this season, crop protection firm Insecticide (India) Ltd has posted 67 per cent increase in net profit to ₹30.50 crore in the first quarter ended on June 30, a release from the company said on Wednesday.
Net profit in the corresponding period last fiscal was ₹18.22 crore. IIL’s net revenue went up by 16 per cent to ₹345.62 crore against ₹298 crore in Q1 last year. The profit before tax also jumped 65 per cent at ₹42.15 crore compared to ₹25.50 crore in the same period in 2016-17, the release said.
