Drug firm Ipca Laboratories today reported a 3.48 per cent rise in its standalone net profit at Rs 129.45 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 125.09 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, Ipca Laboratories said in a BSE filing.
Net sales rose to Rs 834.27 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 757.52 crore in the same period a year ago.
For the first half of 2013-14 fiscal, Ipca Laboratories standalone profit increased to Rs 201.22 crore against Rs 168.07 crore in the year-ago period. Net sales during April-September increased to Rs 1,626.80 crore from Rs 1,387.77 crore.
Shares of Ipca Laboratories were trading at Rs 678.80 per scrip in the afternoon trade on the BSE, up 2.18 per cent from the previous close.
