IRB Infrastructure Developers today reported manifold jump in net profit to Rs 51.01 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, on the back of increased income.
The infrastructure company had reported Rs 10.64 crore profit on the standalone basis in the quarter ended September 30, 2011, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Net income from operations rose by 238 per cent to Rs 450.74 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 133.15 crore in the second quarter of FY’12.
Earnings per share too increased to Rs 1.53 during the quarter from Rs 0.32 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 121.10 a scrip, down 3.54 per cent on the BSE over their previous close.
