The ITU has called for entries based on open source technologies from young developers for the 2014 edition of Young Innovators Competition.
The winner will get a chance to receive $10,000 in seed funding, besides getting an opportunity to showcase their product at ITU Telecom World 2014 to held in Doha in December this year.
The Challenge-2 asks 18-30 year old start-up founders from across ITU’s 193 member countries to submit their ideas at ITU’s dedicated crowdsourcing platform, addressing some of the challenges the communities face.

The deadline for submission of entries this year is July 31.
Launched in 2010, this annual competition offers young innovators the chance to take part in workshops on entrepreneurial skills, opportunities to meet and network with leading ICT players, and to showcase their projects at the InnovationSpace, a dedicated show floor pavilion at the upcoming ITU Telecom World 2014.
