Tata Motors—owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) today reported global sales of 31,611 units in July, 21 per cent increase from the same month last year.
The company sold 6,157 Jaguar vehicles in July, a 65 per cent increase from a year earlier, JLR said in a statement.
“Jaguar has delivered a very strong performance with solid growth in China and North America thanks to the refreshed XJ and XF models,” it added.
Land Rover sales rose 14 per cent to 25,454 units in July from a year earlier, it added.
“Solid performances were seen across the new and refreshed line up with a particularly strong month from Discovery 4 up 37 per cent”, the company said.
JLR sold 2,41,801 vehicles in the first seven months of 2013, a 15 per cent increase over the same period last year.
“This has been another record month for Jaguar Land Rover driven by particularly strong performances in the US, China and Asia Pacific,” JLR Group Sales Operations Director Phil Popham said.
