Taxi hailing app Ola has appointed Joy Bandekar as Corporate President to lead New Initiatives.
Bandekar, who joins Ola from Flipkart, has over 20 years of experience across various industries, including 10 years in e-commerce across India and South East Asia. He will be focusing on New Initiatives for the company.
With a Masters in Business Management and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bandekar has worked with large Indian and multinational organisations like Kirloskar, Reliance Industries, Maxworth Orchards and Atcom Technologies in his career spanning over 20 years.
He is a seasoned hand in the Internet industry, having spent the last ten years in various roles, with organisations like eBay Inc and Flipkart, the company said in a statement.
