The inter ministerial group (IMG) reviewing progress of captive coal mines is likely to recommend de-allocation of Gaurangdih block.
The decision was taken in the Friday meeting of IMG. The Gaurangdih block is awarded to Sajjan Jindal promoted JSW Steel Ltd. The IMG would send its recommendations to Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal on Monday. The final decision on de-allocation would be taken by the Minister.
The company will also have to forego its bank guarantee. Also, the IMG would also recommend deducting bank guarantee of Wani Coalfileds Ltd's Nerad Malegaon block.
The IMG is expected to meet again on Saturday to review more blocks. The Government on Thursday de-allocated four coal blocks allocated to three lesser known private companies.
