Jyothy Laboratories has reported a 57.1 per cent rise in standalone net profit at Rs 32.38 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2018 against Rs 20.61 crore in the April-June period of 2017-18 fiscal.
According to a BSE filling, the company’s total income in the quarter under review stood at Rs 407.44 crore against Rs 363.61 crore of the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The FMCG firm sales for the quarter is net of goods and service tax. “However, sales till the period ended June 30, 2017 is gross of excise duty. Accordingly, the amount is not fully comparable,” it added.
The company shares were trading down 0.99 per cent at Rs 224.65 on the BSE.
