Kalpataru Power Transmission has secured new orders worth about Rs 941 crore. It has won three contracts worth Rs 536 crore from Power Grid Corporation for transmission lines from the 400-KV Krishnapatnam ultra mega power project to the Gooty line; 765 KV Jabalpur Pool to Bina Transmission line and the 765 KV Gwalior-Jaipur line.
The projects are scheduled for completion in 21-27 months. Recently, the company ventured into Railways EPC contracts and bagged four contracts, in joint ventures, worth Rs 325 crore. Kalpataru Power has also been awarded a Rs 80-crore order by Indian Oil Corporation to lay 280-km pipeline between Saraipalli and Raipur and also from Saraipalli to Korba in Chhattisgarh.
On a standalone basis, the company's order book is over Rs 5,500 crore Mr Manish Mohnot, Executive Director, said, “We have a very robust order book, as more than 75 per cent of it is with price variation clauses. We have ventured into railways EPC contracting using our expertise and JMC's civil works capabilities.”
