Kalpataru Power Transmission has secured orders worth over Rs 1,325 crore.
Its international division has won a turnkey contract from Ukraine's state company NEC Ukrenergo to construct a 750 kV, 353-km transmission line from Rivnenska nuclear power station to Kyiv worth about Rs 825 crore.
The project is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and is scheduled for completion in 42 months.
The Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company has awarded Kalpataru a Rs 457-crore order for the construction of a 400 kV Babhaleshwar-to-Kudos 200-km line and 400 kV Padge-to-Tarapur line of 4 km.
The company has also got a Rs 42-crore contract from Millenium Challenge Account – Tanzania for design, supply and construction of 132 kV transmission line of 41 km to connect Zanzibar Inter-connector.
Mr Manish Mohnot, Executive Director, said “We have made maiden entry into CIS countries, which is one of the target markets for the company, given vast opportunities for the power sector. Our order book looks well-diversified in terms of international, private, SEBs and PGCIL orders, which also reduces concentration risks as now we have international orders worth more than Rs 2,000 crore.”
On a standalone basis, the company's order book stands at over of Rs 6,000 crore.
