Karnataka Bank Ltd has been adjudged second runner up of the ‘IBA Banking Technology Award 2012-13 for customer management initiative’ under the private sector bank category.
A press statement by the bank said here on Tuesday that P. Jayarama Bhat, Managing Director, received the award from Raghunath A. Mashelkar, Chairman of the National Innovation Foundation, in the presence of K.R. Kamath, Chairman of IBA, in Mumbai on January 27.
Quoting Bhat, the statement said: “The customer has always been the focal point of our business initiatives. This award demonstrates the bank’s customer centric approach and the innovative use of technology to enhance the levels of customer service and satisfaction.”
