KEF Holdings opens ₹120-cr fit-out factory at Krishnagiri

KEF Holdings, a diversified group that specialises in innovative offsite construction technology, has opened its joinery and fit-out factory at the KEF Infra One Industrial Park in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu.

Built at an investment of ₹120 crore, the facility is one of the 10 factories at the 42-acre park. KEF Infra One will be the largest fully integrated one-stop ‘offsite construction’ destination.

Advanced technology
Faizal E Kottikollon, Chairman, KEF Holdings, said the facility is equipped with advanced technology from leading international specialists, the joinery and fit-out factory.

The unit builds on automation technology realised through robotic systems that are run by computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing software to eliminate wastage in the production line as well as reduce time and building costs, he added.

The KEF joinery & fit-out factory has machines developed for woodworking machinery, which makes the panel line, solid wood line and finishing line are sourced from various European countries such as Italy, Germany and Austria. The factory is capable of manufacturing 150 doors and cabinets a day.

Kottikollon said, “We are well-positioned to become one of the leading offsite construction facilities in the world and this factory offers a glimpse of what we deliver in terms of quality and capacity. Our aim is to manufacture all-encompassing and sustainable structures at half the cost and time and make it significantly easier to meet the infrastructure needs of sectors such as healthcare and education.”
