Kemin expands Chennai unit capacity
Kemin Industries, a global firm in nutritional ingredients, has expanded the capacity at its factory near Chennai as part of its business expansion. The expansion of Unit-II located at the SIPCOT industrial estate, Gummidipoondi, Chennai, has been done at an investment of ₹8 million, according to a statement. “South Asia is a very important animal feed market, producing more than 35 million tonnes of compound feed. To address the rapid growth, coupled with the objective of better customer service, we decided to invest in the additional capacity of our existing Gummidipoondi plant in Chennai,” said Chris Nelson, President and CEO, Kemin Industries.
