Water purifier maker Kent today launched its new product Kent Supreme in Hyderabad.

The product works on a new technology, which was developed in-house by the company, aimed at ensuring no water wastage.

“While the existing reverse osmosis-based products takes 40 litres of raw water to produce 10 litres of RO water, our new product is capable of recovering 100 per cent water in use,’’ Mahesh Gupta, Chairman, said.

The company, which has three manufacturing facilities at Roorkee, is expanding the capacity of its third plant from three lakh units a year to seven lakh units at a cost of Rs 35 crore.

“The expanded facility is expected to be ready in the next three months, after which our total capacity will increase to eight lakh units,’’ he said.

Kent will be launching a new TV advertisement campaign in the next two days featuring Rahul Dravid of Rajasthan Royals team and actor Hema Malini.
