Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (KKR) will add seven companies to its Green Portfolio Program.
Bharti Infratel and Dalmia Bharat Cement are the Indian companies that will be added to the programme.
This programme has been designed to identify and unlock new opportunities that will improve both financial and environmental performance of Kohlberg Kravis’ portfolio companies.
The other companies that are joining the programme are Del Monte Foods and Capsugel in the US; TDC A/S in Denmark; Versatel and KION Group in Germany, said a company release.
Companies involved in the Green Portfolio Program reported $365 million in cumulative cost-savings and additional revenue from their environmental efforts since 2008, Kohlberg Kravis said.
