Noida-based Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL) has entered into a brand licence partnership with US-based technology company Kodak to introduce its LED TV range in India.
SPPL will initially launch five HD LED TV models in 32, 40 and 50 inches; of these three models are smart TVs.
These are priced in the range of ₹13,500 to ₹36,500.
To start with, SPPL will launch the products on e-commerce platforms.
Avneet Singh Marwah, Director, SPPL, said: “We hope to leverage on Kodak’s legacy as one of the leading imaging companies in the world to drive its growth in the Indian home entertainment industry as well. We will differentiate by offering quality products at competitive prices.”
Marwah further said the company has been in the CRT TVs business for long, with a strong manufacturing base in the country, and understands consumers.
The company also plans to launch a 4K and curved TV series in the fourth quarter of this year. It will make the LED TVs at its plants in Jammu, Una (Himachal Pradesh) and Noida.
