Digital media services provider Komli Media has acquired Singapore-based online firm Aktiv Digital for an undisclosed amount to expand its presence in South-East Asia.
“The acquisition of Aktiv will enable us to expand our presence in South-East Asia and give immediate access to key markets like Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines,” the Komli Media CEO, Mr Prashant Mehta, told PTI.
Without disclosing the deal size, Mr Mehta said post-acquisition, Komli is looking to export technologies and solutions developed in India.
“We will use this acquisition as a base to expand further in these markets by expanding the team. We will also look to enter other markets like Indonesia very soon,” he added.
Aktiv Digital currently has a team of 12 people which will be doubled by next year.
Commenting on the deal, the Komli Media V-P, International, Mr Akshay Garg, said: “Having a footprint in South-East Asia gives us the ability to present a pan-regional solution to clients looking for marketing and monetisation opportunities in APAC.”
For Komli, the Aktiv buyout is its third acquisition in the recent past. In June last year, the company had acquired Australia-based Post Click, followed by Indoor Media, a UK-based online marketing company in October.
Komli Media provides marketers with solutions across brand marketing, performance marketing, social media and video advertising.
Set up in 2007, Aktiv Digital has established itself as one of the most accessible touch-points for purchasing of online media for branding, lead generation and acquisition-based objectives. The company has worked with over 500 brands so far.
