Following its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor show in March, Automobili Lamborghini has launched the Huracán in India. The new luxury sport car is the successor to the iconic Gallardo. “Today we are very proud to officially launch the new Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 here in India.
Automobili Lamborghini continues to set new benchmarks in the luxury super sports car industry with its cutting edge technology and we expect the Huracán to be well-received in this country,” Sebastien Henry Head of South East Asia, Automobili Lamborghin said in a press release.
With 14,022 units produced, the Gallardo is the most successful Lamborghini model ever made and had a 10-year production run.
The distinctive features of the new car include hexagonal side windows, all lights, including the main headlamps, in LED, a hybrid chassis that unites carbon-fibre and aluminum components, a low dry weight of 1,422 kg and 20-inch wheels.
The new V10 engine in the Huracán produces a power output of 448 kW / 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Thanks in part to the Stop & Start technology, ECE average fuel consumption has dropped to 12.5 litres per 100 km (290 g CO2 per km).
