Larsen & Toubro today said that it expects its electrical and automation business to double to Rs 8,000 crore by 2015.
“Our current business is Rs 3,800 crore and we expect to grow at 20 per cent per annum and by 2015, the turnover will be Rs 8,000 crore,” the head of E&A business, Mr S.C. Bhargava, said here.
The company had secured an order of 1.26 million single phase energy meters from the state government utility WBSEDCL.
Mr Bhargava did not rule out overseas opportunities. He also said in future the E&A business could be under a separate business entity.
