Infrastructure conglomerate Larsen and Toubro today said that it has bagged new orders worth Rs 1,333 crore from various clients during the current month.
“L&T Construction has secured new orders worth Rs 1,333 crore in October 2013 in various business segments,” the company said in a statement.
In water and renewable energy business, the company has bagged orders worth Rs 1,095 crore, which includes a major turnkey order from the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board for the construction of underground drainage system in nine towns of Jamnagar and Porbandar districts.
The company has also received a repeat order from Naya Raipur Development Authority for the construction of underground storm water pipelines, water supply network and other associated works at Naya Raipur.
It has also secured a turnkey order from the Kolkata Metropolitan Water and Sanitation Authority under the National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) for design and construction of sewerage networks and sewage treatment plant at Gayeshpur town in West Bengal.
The renewable energy business has bagged a turnkey order for design and construction of a 25-MW wind power plant in Tamil Nadu from a client, whose name L&T did not disclose.
In the buildings and factories business, it has secured new orders worth Rs 238 crore from HLL Lifecare Ltd for expansion and modernisation of an old hospital and institute building at JIPMER, Puducherry.
Following the announcement, shares of the company were trading at Rs 929.00 apiece on the BSE at 2.20 p.m., up 0.42 per cent from the previous close.
