Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro today said it has bagged new orders worth Rs 2,683 crore in the current month across various segments both in the domestic and overseas markets.
“L&T Construction has won new orders worth Rs 2,683 crore during September 2013 across various business segments,” the company said in a statement.
The firm has bagged orders worth Rs 1,334 crore in the water and renewable energy sector, it said.
“Three of the major turnkey orders received are from the Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan for integrated regional drinking water supply projects linking several towns and 650 villages in Barmer, Banswara and Pratapgarh districts,” it added.
The company has secured new projects worth Rs 1,194 crore for its buildings and factories business, including an order for design and construction of a mega residential project in Chennai.
“The power transmission & distribution business has bagged an international order worth Rs 155 crore from a reputed customer in UAE”, it added.
