Larsen & Toubro (L&T) today said that its construction wing has received new orders worth Rs 1,793 crore across various business segments in the last two-and-a-half months.
“L&T Construction has won new orders worth Rs 1,793 crore across various business segments in July, August and September 2013,” L&T said in a statement. L&T Construction is a subsidiary of L&T.
The metallurgical and material handling business got Rs 550-crore order from Northern Coalfields, a subsidiary of Coal India, for engineering, procurement and construction of coal handling package at Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh.
The power transmission and distribution business secured orders worth Rs 118 crore from Power Grid Corporation for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of transmission towers.
“Additional orders worth Rs 1,125 crore have also been received from various ongoing projects of heavy civil and water and renewable energy businesses,” L&T said.
