The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth Rs 2,552 crore, the company announced in a press statement. An EPC order of Rs 1,223 crore has come from Aurangabad Industrial Township Limited (AITL), for which L&T’s two verticals, Transportation Infrastructure and Water Effluent Treatment, will jointly engage in construction of roads, drains, bridges, potable water network, sewage and common effluent treatment plants, sewerage and recycled water network, firefighting system and power distribution system including GIS sub-station.
Water & Effluent Treatment Business has bagged another large order of Rs 1,329 crore from Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority for implementation of Surya Regional Bulk Water Supply Scheme for Western Sub Region of Mumbai. The project includes construction of intake structures, a water treatment plant of 419 million litres per day (MLD) capacity and a clear water pump-house along with associated electro-mechanical and instrumentation works, pipeline network, tunnels and storage structures at Mira Bhayandar and Vasai Virar.
Earlier this month L&T announced it had won a turnkey order worth Rs 1,324 crore from Andhra Pradesh Township Infrastructure Development Corporation as well as orders worth Rs 540 crore for works in power sector, include building a section of transmission lime for Power Grid Corporation of India and developing of 50 MW grid connected Solar PV project in Tamil Nadu for NHPC. In the month of May, L&T Construction won orders worth Rs 5,146 Crore across various business segments, the company said.
