L&T Construction has obtained orders worth Rs 1,076 crore across businesses in the first quarter of this fiscal.
The Metallurgical & Material Handling division bagged an order worth Rs 407 crore from Bajaj Infrastructure Development Corporation to set up a coal handling system for its 3 x 660 MW super thermal power project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh.
This coal handling plant package will be completed on a fast track schedule of 22 months, L&T said.
The Power Transmission & Distribution division secured orders worth Rs 669 crore in domestic and international markets. A major order is for construction of 132/33 kV substations and other modification works in the Middle East.
On the domestic front, an order is for electrical works under the Government’s R-APDRP (restructured accelerated power development reforms programme) for the Hubli Electricity Supply Company, besides few additional orders in on-going projects.
