Infrastructure major Larsen and Toubro today said its construction division has secured orders worth Rs 1,009 crore in little over one-and-a-half months.
“L&T Construction has secured new orders valued over Rs 1,009 crore in November and till date in December 2012,” it said in a release.
The building and factories business of L&T Construction has got Rs 852 crore orders for the design and construction of a major IT campus in the National Capital Region, New Delhi.
The vertical has also received orders for construction of multi—storied residential towers in Bangalore from major clients.
L&T, however, neither disclose the identity of the clients nor the value of the order received.
The metallurgical and minerals handling business of L&T Construction has, in consortium with LUET China, bagged a Rs 206 crore order from Steel Authority of India for rebuilding and construction of a coke oven battery at Durgapur Steel Plant, it said.
“L&T’s share of the order is Rs 157 crore,” it said.
