Engineering major Larsen & Toubro today said it has bagged contracts worth Rs 1,832 crore from various business segments since July.
“The company’s construction arm L&T Construction has won new orders worth Rs 1,832 crore from across various business segments in July and August,” a release issued here said.
The company has bagged Rs 1,008-crore worth orders in its buildings and factories business, Rs 624-crore worth contracts in the power transmission and distribution segment from the international market and Rs 200-crore orders in the heavy civil infrastructure business.
In buildings business, L&T has secured a turnkey order from a private developer for a residential tower in Kolkata where it will construct five towers of up to 29 floors with all amenities.
Another order is for the construction of a 246-metre high, 60-floor residential tower in Mumbai. Additional orders have also been received from various ongoing jobs, the release said.
The company’s overseas arm L&T Oman has bagged a contract for engineering, procurement and construction of a new 400/220 kV grid substation at Misfah.
The contract includes supply and erection of 400 kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS), 500 MVA transformer, control relay panels, substation control systems and all associated civil work.
In Saudi Arabia, the company has received an order from an EPC major for the design, fabrication, galvanisation, type-testing and supply of 380 kV level lattice type transmission line towers along with associated tower parts and accessories.
Towers for the contract will be manufactured and exported from L&T’s manufacturing facility in Puducherry, the release said.
