L&T Construction wins Rs 4,160-cr orders in July-Aug

L&T has secured orders worth over Rs 4,160 crore across business segments in July and August.

The building & factories division has got orders worth Rs 2,319 crore. The major orders secured are for construction of 12 residential towers in Delhi and Chennai.

In power transmission & distribution, orders secured are valued at Rs 974 crore. This includes a major turnkey order from Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd for rural electrification works under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojna phase -II in Barabanki and Lakhimpur district.

Another order is from the Kerala State Electricity Board for strengthening and augmenting the distribution system in Kozhikode town under the Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Programme on a turnkey basis.

L&T’s water and renewable energy business division bagged orders worth Rs 735 crore, which includes a major order from the Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan, for water supply. The work includes construction of a water supply network for 256 villages and five towns.

L&T has also received an order from the Tuticorin Municipal Corporation, Tamil Nadu, for the construction of an intake water treatment plant and water supply system in the town.

This apart, L&T said it has got additional orders worth Rs 132 crore in ongoing projects.
