L&T Hydrocarbon has got fresh orders worth Rs 1,000 crore from domestic customers in the offshore and onshore business sectors.
The company said in a release that the major order was an offshore contract from BG Exploration and Production India (BGEPIL) worth about Rs 700 crore which was secured against international competitive bidding.
The scope of the project involved total engineering, procurement and construction and installation of one wellhead platform and sub sea pipe laying (30 km) spread over the Panna-Mukta fields of ONGC-RIL-BGEPIL joint venture.
This was aimed at increasing production to meet the rising energy demand and would be completed by March 2015.
The other order in the onshore sector was for Rs 300 crore from a prominent refinery in the country.
