The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won orders amounting to Rs 2,416 crore across three business segments – building & factories, power transmission & distribution, and smart world & communication – in June 2016.
In a notice to the stock exchange, L&T said its buildings & factories business has won orders – from a Mumbai developer to execute civil and structural works for the construction of two residential towers; and construction of a mixed use development in Kolkata -- worth Rs 1,165 crore.
In the power transmission & construction business, the company has bagged orders aggregating Rs 1,120 crore for construction of a medium voltage overhead line in the Middle East and from Uttar Pradesh based Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd.
L&T’s smart world & communication business has won orders worth Rs 131 crore, which includes a new order from RajCOMP Info Services Ltd, a government of Rajasthan undertaking.
