Lanco Infratech has posted a loss of Rs 581 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013 against a loss of Rs 135.9 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
It has posted 32 per cent drop in gross revenue at Rs 2,535.3 crore against Rs 3,748.7 crore. The diversified infrastructure company has posted a forex loss of Rs 151 crore during the second quarter.
The company’s performance was impacted due to inadequate fuel supply for its gas and thermal plants, forex loss, high interest outgo and significant slowdown in EPC division.
Lanco Infra has outstanding dues worth Rs 2,939.20 crore and an order book worth Rs 24,965.5 crore with internal projects constituting about 83 per cent. The company’s headcount stood at 4,810 and its adjusted networth is Rs 5,429.1 crore.
Lanco Infra has a gross debt of Rs 36,392 crore and is in the process of bringing down its interest burden through a debt restructure at its holding company level.
The company shares were trading at Rs 6.15, down 1.6 per cent on the BSE.
