Lanco Solar Energy, a fully owned subsidiary of Lanco Infratech Ltd, has won IESA Award for most innovative product 2012.
The award was presented at the Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association’s annual event IESA Vision Summit in Bangalore.
The award was given for an innovative plug and play solar photo voltaic product design to cater to offgrid solar solutions in urban and rural hinterlands. The modular design is scalable to cater to a single family rooftop installation to village mini-grids to large urban residential and industrial rooftops.
Several of these installations are operational in grameen banks, remote village schools, tribal hostels, rural health centres, and industrial utilities in Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha and other States.
L. Madhusudhan Rao, Executive Chairman, Lanco Infratech, in a statement said: “IESA Technovation Award is recognition of our innovation and focus on continuous improvement in delivery of renewable solutions at affordable cost.’’
Lanco Solar has a portfolio of about 400 MW of solar power projects, including own projects and third party turnkey EPC services. It has commissioned 95-MW solar PV projects, while more than 300 MW is currently under execution.
