Spanish luxury porcelain company, Llardo plans to open more of shop-in-shop stores in cities without presence and in large luxury malls now coming up in India.

The iconic brand known for its heritage, quality and creations has come up with a diamond-studded Goddess Lakshmi. The exquisite piece of sculpture is priced at Rs 6,50,000 and made at its Valencia factory.

"We will have only 720 pieces of this exclusive creation. These will complement the other range from the Spirit of India collection which includes Rama, Sita, Radha Krishna, Lord Krishna, Sacred Cow and Ganesha," Nikhil Lamba, Chief Operating Officer of Llardo India, said.

Llardo entered India 11 years ago and now has eight exclusive boutiques and shop in shop stores in several major cities. "However, we are now looking to open more of shop-in-shop format stores to quickly expand our reach. The company is also planning a boutique in Kerala," he said.

These timeless collectors’ items are priced starting from Rs 3,500 for Diya to Rs 1.15 crore for Queen of the Nile. With about 20 per cent of the items designed and produced are limited edition, it adds to the charm for owners.

"Llardo has sold quite a few pieces of Queen of Nile in south India. We are looking to repeat the success of Ganesha with Goddess Lakshmi," he said.

Rosa Llardo, President of the company, is currently touring India to unveil celebrated sculpture Goddess Lakshmi.

Most of the creations are purchased by collectors and few buy them to gift to others.
